Yes, most high school sporting events in Nevada charge a small admission fee. Prices vary by location but typically range from $5-$10 for adults and students.
For tournaments, weigh-ins typically begin promptly at 7:00 AM. Wrestlers should arrive at least 30-45 minutes prior to check weight. For dual meets, weigh-ins are usually 1 hour before the JV start time.
The main objective is to pin your opponent. If no pin occurs, points determine the winner:
Required: Wrestling shoes and Headgear.
Recommended: Knee pads and a mouthguard (mandatory if the wrestler has braces). All gear should be brought to every practice.
Wrestling tournaments are all-day events. Wrestling usually starts at 9:00 AM and can go until late afternoon or evening depending on the bracket size. We recommend bringing food, water, and comfortable seating for spectators.
Skin health is critical in wrestling. Skin checks are performed before every tournament. If a wrestler has a suspicious mark, they may be disqualified without a doctor's note.
Fungal infection, red circular rash.
Bacterial, sores that crust over.
Viral infection, clusters of blisters.
